Caricature artist, theatre director, actor, costume designer and acting teacher, “La Dama” was born in Mexico City in 1965. His artistic, educational and journalistic work has focussed on caricature and theatre. As a caricaturist he began his career in 1984 with the newspaper
Unomásuno, and his work has appeared in many others, such as
El Nacional, El Día, El Mercurio, Tribuna de la Bahía, La Jornada and
El financiero Bajio; as well as in the magazines
El Papa del Ahuizote, El Chamuco, El Chahuistle, Paso de Gato and
Tragaluz. In 1993 he received the National Award for Journalism for his work in
La Jornada’s
Histerietas.
