(Honduras, 1955) Isolda Arita Melzer is a journalist. Having graduated in Ethics and Politics, Melzer has been the managing director of Guaymuras publishing house since 1988. Currently, she is also the co-editor and columnist of the magazine Envío-Honduras. Furthermore, she has been the president of the Honduran Chamber of Books; columnist and editorial writer for El Heraldo; general coordinator of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in Central America (CODEHUCA) in San José, Costa Rica, and communicator in the Department of University Extension UNAH.
