José Miguel BARAJAS

barajas-jose-miguel (Mexico, 1983) A graduate in Hispanic Language and Literature and in French Language from the UV. Awards received include the 2008 Juan Rulfo National Essay Prize, a scholarship from the Fundación para las Letras Mexicanas (2010-2012) and another from PECDA (2013). His non-fiction work includes: Portal de letras. Ejercicios de crítica literaria, Antología del ensayo literario veracruzano (1950-2010), Asedios/Errancias. Muestra de literatura joven de Mexico and Cámara nocturna. Ensayos sobre Salvador Elizondo. He compiled and wrote the prologue for Historia y memoria, by Francisco Xavier Clavijero (IVEC), and has translated Stéphane Mallarmé’s Igitur (AUIEO). He teaches Phonetics and Phonology and Literary Translation at the Universidad Veracruzana.
