(United Kingdom, 1948) Musician, producer, visual artist and teacher, Brian Eno is known as one of the principal innovators of ambient music. He co-founded the group Roxy Music in the 1970s, and has produced hit records for David Bowie, Devo, Talking Heads and U2, among others. As a solo artist, he has released numerous studio albums, including Another Green World (1975), Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks (1983), and more recently Someday World and High Life (both 2014), together with Karl Hyde. His music has appeared in various films such as Trainspotting, Velvet Goldmine, and Heat, as well as on television programmes and advertisements; he also composed the start-up tune for Windows 95.
