(Finland, 1978) Writer and animation director Katja Kettu is a multifaceted artist who perceives the world through words and images. She considers writing as a form of translation: from one form of reality to another. Born in Rovaniemi, she graduated in animation direction from the Turku Academy of the Arts, as well as studying Finnish literature at the University of Tampere. She has lived in places such as Helsinki, Talinn and London, where she teaches scriptwriting, makes music videos and works freelance on writing and film projects.
