Migel Lázaro is the editor of co-founder of the publishing house Cabaret Voltaire,
which he started in Barcelona 8 years ago together with Jose Miguel Pomares. The main publishing focus of Cabaret Voltaire
is French literature, and one of their key priorities, from the very first book published by them, has been to achieve and maintain a uniform and consistent catalog of books, through careful selection of titles, translator and quality cover design. Despite their relatively short existence, they can count Patrick Modiano, winner of the 2014 Nobel Prize for Literature, among their authors. In addition, their efforts have been recognized by other prizes, such as the 2008 Stendhal Prize for Translation, the 2009 Calamo Otra Mirada, the 2010 Visual Award for best book design, and the Mots Passants Translation prize in 2012.
