One of the most respected musicians of the Colombian Carribean. In his music and his lyrics, he has sought to preserve the essence not only of Colombia's African legacy, but the Palenque language itself. He is the creator of the very first Champeta group of the movement, Anne Zwing, which means 'flavourful' in Spanish. He has made a unique and lasting impression on Colombian music, influencing countless artists, musicologists, critics and dancers.
