Author of books for children and young adults, who has published her work with Panamericana, Alfaguera, Fondo de Cultura Economica, Random House, Mondadori, Norma, Ediciones B and Educar. Among her most well-known books are the titles Conjuros y sortilegios, Mambrú perdió la guerra, Jero Carapálida (saga para niños), Paso a paso, Cambio de voz and Lugares fantásticos de Colombia. She is the founder of the Espantapájaros Bookshop and the Espantapájaros Workshop in Bogota. She presents readings and conducts workshops for children, teenagers, parents, teachers, librarians and cultural promoters through various programs in different institutions. One of these programs is “La Imprenta Manual”, a training program for readers and writers. She is also currently part of emilibro.com, as a consultant and editor for digital books for children and young adults. In addition, she has also translated from Portuguese books by Lydia Bojunga, Ana María Machado, Marina Colasanti, Moacyr Scliar and Rubem Fonseca, as well as translating some other works from French. She has been an international speaker at many events worldwide, and her books have received numerous awards and honourable mentions in different national and international competitions.
