Deborah Levy is a South African-born writer of pioneering fiction, memoir and plays. Her novels, Swimming Home (2011) Hot Milk (2016) and The Man Who Saw Everything (2019) were nominated for the Booker Prize. Her ‘living autobiography’ trilogy, Things I Don’t Want to Know & The Cost of Living won the Prix Femina Etranger in France 2020. The final volume, Real Estate, was awarded The Christopher Isherwood Prize for Autobiographical Prose, 2022. Levy’s new novel, August Blue, will be published in May 2023.
