Jennifer CLEMENT

(1960) A US-Mexican writer who studied English Literature and Anthropology at New York University and French Literature in Paris. From 2009 to 2012 she was president of PEN Mexico and is the current president of PEN International. She has won the Canongate Prize for new writers and was shortlisted for the William Faulkner and Orange prizes. She has published Widow Basquiat (Broadway Books); A Trus Story Based on Lies (2001) (Canongate, 2003); The Poison that Fascinates (Canongate, 2009) and Prayers for the Stolen (Hogarth, 2014).
