BAHIRA ABDULATIF was born in Bagdad but lives in Spain. She has been professor in the University of Bagdad and is the co-author of 'Iraq Bajo Ocupación: Destrucción de la Identidad y la Memoria' and co-author of 'Mujer Árabe, Islam y Sociedad'. She is the founder of the magazine El Aleph 2000. She is a translator, interpreter and writer as well.
