LUIS ANTONIO de VILLENA (MADRID,1951) is a Spanish poet, essayist, literary critic and translator. He has been classified as an author of the group ‘novisimos’ or ‘venecianos’- the generation of the 70s of the Contemporary Spanish poetry. Among his writings there are Sublime solarium, La muerte unicámente, Cuerpos, teorias, deseos y Un hombre o dos o tres. He received the national Critics Award (1981) the international Prize Ciudad de Melilla (1997) , Sonrisa Vertical of erotic narrative award (1999) and the intenational prize of the generation of 27 (2004). In 2007, he received Viaje del Parnazo Prize. He has been doctor honoris causa from the University of Lille (France).
