Elvira LICEAGA

Elvira Liceaga (Mexico City, 1983) is a writer and broadcaster. She is the author of the short story collection Carolina y otras despedidas (Caballo de Troya, 2018), the novel Las vigilantes (Lumen México, 2023; Las afueras, 2025), and co-author with Jazmina Barrera and Daniela Rea of ​​the book Rituales para la amistad (Almadía, 2024). She has participated in the scriptwriting and direction of audio and audio-visual documentaries, such as La Advertencia, Mujeres de fuego and Las guardianas, about violence against women and the defence of territory in Latin America. She worked with Natalia Lafourcade on the podcast and book De todas las flores and with Lila Downs on her memoir, El árbol de la vida. A familiar voice on Mexican radio, she has hosted important cultural programmes in which she has interviewed writers and collectives. She works with the Hay Festival and UNAM, among other institutions. Her projects have been nominated for various literary and journalism awards.
