Patricia SALAS O'BRIEN

A sociologist from Arequipa, senior lecturer at UNSA and Director of the Institute for Social Research at the same university, and founding member of the Investment Group for Childhood. She was Minister of Education (2011-2013) and is a specialist in matters of education and social development. She has a degree in Sociology, a Master’s in Development Strategies and Social Policies and a doctorate in Social Sciences. She was on the National Education Council from 2002-2008 and 2008-2010, and was the council’s chair from 2004 to 2008.
