Nelson VALLEJO-GÓMEZ

A Franco-Colombian philosopher with links to the work of Edgar Morin. He specialises in educational policies and international university and scientific cooperation. He studied Philosophy at the University of the Sorbonne, Paris-IV. He has honorary doctorates from the Universidad Ricardo Palma, the Universidad de Cajamarca and the Universidad de Caldas (Manizales-Colombia). He was Cooperation Attaché with the French Embassy in Peru (2005-2009) and is am ENCINAS prize-winner (Lima, 2009). He is in charge of the Americas Programme for scientific cooperation at the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme in Paris and is the Head of Information and Assessing Public Policies in the Department of Basic and Secondary Education, within the French Ministry of National Education. His latest publication is on the articulation of knowledge and the metamorphosis of disciplines in the work of Edgar Morin.
