(Havana, 1965) Cuban theatre and film actor, documentary director, painter and sculptor. He acted in award-winning films, such as Amor Vertical (Viña del Mar Film Festival - 1996) and Strawberry and Chocolate (Havana Film Festival - 1993) and has also won a best male actor award. His other films include: Clara no es nombre de mujer (2010); Boleto al paraíso (2010), shortlisted for the Best Hispano-American Film at the Goya Awards; the French Retour à Ithaque (2014); and Viva (2015), by the Irish director Paddy Breathnach, winner of Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards.
