Maruan SOTO ANTAKI

Maruan Soto Antaki is the author of the novels Casa Damasco (Alfaguara, 2013), La carta del verdugo (Alfaguara, 2014), Clandestino (Alfaguara, 2015), El jardín del honor (Alfaguara, 2016), El mal menor (Alfaguara, 2018), and the non-fiction books Reserva del vacío, Ensayo sobre la muerte como invención literaria (Taurus, 2015), Pensar Medio Oriente (Taurus, 2016), Pensar México (Taurus, 2017) and Pensar Occidente (Taurus, 2018). His is one of the major voices in Mexico in terms of analysing the Arab world. He contributes to a range of national and international media outlets, where he covers topics related to the Middle East, culture, politics, religion, and philosophy.
