Ignacio MEDINA

(Madrid, 1955) An author with a long career in food writing. He has edited magazines such as Club de Gourmet and Gran Reserva, and has worked as a restaurant critic for the newspapers El País, El Sol and El Mundo, in Spain, and El Comercio in Peru. During his career he has twice won the National Gastronomy Prize. He has worked for the press, radio and television and has published around eighty books on cookery; the two latest, edén.pe (2012) and Mamá, yo no quiero ser Gastón (2014), were published in Lima. He is currently a restaurant critic for Luces-El Comercio and the American edition of El País, where he has been writing an opinion column for the last two years. He is a consultant on development and social responsibility programmes in Chile and Peru and runs the Escuela de Mozos school in Pachacútec.
