Ignacio MORGADO

(Spain) Professor of Psychobiology and Director of the Neuroscience Institute at Barcelona’s Autonomous University. He has studied and carried out research at the universities of the Ruhr and Oxford as well as at the California Institute of Technology (CALTECH). He has been Founding Deacon of the Faculty of Psychology, Director of the Department of Psychobiology and Health Sciences, and Director of the Institute of Neuroscience, all at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is a member of the Spanish Society of Neuroscience and has been a member of the executive committee of the European Brain and Behaviour Society (EBBS). He is the author of dozens of works on psychobiology and cognitive neuroscience, published in Spanish and international journals. He has received a number of academic prizes and awards for popular science, and has coordinated a neuroscience collection for Ariel, an imprint that has published works of his such as Emociones e inteligencia social (2006), Cómo percibimos el mundo: una aproximación a la mente y los sentidos (2012), Aprender, recordar y olvidar (2014) and La fábrica de las emociones (2015).
