Giuseppe Caputo (Barranquilla, 1982) is the author of the novels An Orphan World (Charco, 2019), Estrella madre (Random House, 2020) and La frontera encantada (Random House, 2025). He is currently a lecturer and academic coordinator of the Master's in Creative Writing at the Caro y Cuervo Institute. His work has been translated into English, Italian and Indonesian. The English translation of Un mundo huérfano by Juana Adcock and Sophie Hughes received an English Penn Award. He was the Cultural Director of the Bogota International Book Fair (FILBo) from 2015 to 2018. In 2017, he was selected by the Hay Festival as one of the 39 best fiction writers under 40 in Latin America. He studied Creative Writing at New York University and the University of Iowa.
