Since 2005 she has directed the independent publishing house Tragaluz editores. In 2012 her book Bola de agua received one of the most important awards in Latin America for children’s literature: Best Children’s Book given by the Venezuelan Banco del Libro. Her book Mil orejas (2014), was selected in Best Books for Children and Young People with Disabilities 2015, IBBY and received a special mention in the New Horizons category of the Bolognaragazzi Award 2015. She currently runs the Casa Tragaluz Cultural Centre.
