Rebecca BACH-LAURITSEN

Rebecca Bach-Lauritsen (born 1976). Winner of the Danish Ministry of Education’s award ’Skriverprisen’ in 2011. As an author, who graduated from the Danish ‘Centre for Children’s Literature’ (‘Forfatterskolen for børnelitteratur’) in 2010, she writes for children and teenagers and in 2011 she made her debut with ‘Veronika lyder som harmonika’ (‘Veronika sounds like accordion’). Taking inspiration from Marguerite Duras, Gertrude Stein, Anne Carson and Edith Södergran, she writes about the troubles of girlhood, about grief and about feeling all alone in a tone that goes from the poetic to the spontaneous. Rebecca Bach-Lauritsen is also known from The Danish Broadcasting Corporation where she has worked as a host as well as a presenter on, for example, ‘Elefant Vaskeriet’ (a Danish TV programme for children and young people) with Johanne Algren.
