Musicologist and writer. She has published several books and articles on the music of southern Peru from the 18th to the 20th centuries. As a novelist, she is the author of Cápac Cocha (2006) —winner of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru’s Julio Ramón Ribeyro Novella Prize— and Acuarelas (2013) —which received an honourable mention in the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru’s novel competition in 2009. Her other works include Las Saucedo (2015), El molle y el sauce (2017) and Cantan al Hablar (2025) — the latter receiving an honourable mention for the Copé Novel Prize in 2013 under the title Teclas. She currently teaches music research at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
