(Barcelona, 1957). Novelist and cultural journalist. After graduating in History, he continued his studies at the University of Boston with a Fulbright Scholarship. He is currently the editor of the Cultura/s supplement at La Vanguardia newspaper. He has published journalistic non-fiction works such as Pasando página. Autores y editores en la España democrática (2003) and Código best seller (2011), and has published a collection of his articles and reports in Crónicas Culturales (2004) and La cultura y la vida (2013). Author of the Barcelona Trilogy which covers a century of Barcelona life from the point of view of family memoir and social reportage. It is made up of the novels Una heredera de Barcelona (2010), Estaba en el aire (2013, Nadal Prize) and El informe Casabona (2017). He is also the author of the plays El club de la escalera and La agente literaria. A member of Barcelona’s Real Academia de Buenas Letras. He won the National Cultural Journalism Prize in 2020.
