He has a PhD in Political Science (IEP and EHSS, Paris). He is a photographer, filmmaker and cultural event manager, essay writer and independent researcher. His work has been displayed in Latin America as well as Europe. He is the creator of the first Photography Biennial of Peru and South America (Arequipa, Peru, 1989) and founder of Artniente an organization dedicated to contemporary art (1997). He has directed the International Meetings on Contemporary Image (2007). He was in charge of the mission to present French and Peruvian projects on visual inclusion in the International Meetings on Visual Inclusion in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil (2009) in FotoRío. He has collaborated with the Lima Image Centre, has participated in Trasaltántica/Photoespaña in the Meetings for Critics and Researchers in Mexico City in 2010 and in Valparaíso (Chile) in 2011. He has lead the event “The function of art, the function of the artist” of the Center of Contemporary Art in Quito, in April 2013. He is coordinator and collaborator at Rencontres Place publique (Marseille).
