Winston Morales (Neiva, Huila, 1969). Social communicator, journalist and educator at the University of Cartagena. He has won the National Poetry Competitions of the Universities of Quindío, 2000; Antioquia, 2001, and Tecnológica de Bolívar, 2005. Winner of the "David Mejía Velilla" International Literature Prize, Universidad de La Sabana, 2014. Winner of the Curtea de Argeș International Grand Prize for Poetry, Romania, 2018. Winner of the 9th Bienal Nacional de Novela José Eustasio Rivera First Prize. He has written many books of poetry, novels, essays and journalism. His work has been translated into English, French, Polish, German, Romanian and Italian.
