Radka DENEMARKOVÁ

denemarkova-radka Radka Denemarková (1968) is a Czech novelist, essayist, playwright, television screenwriter, journalist and translator. She studied Czech and German at the Faculty of Arts in the Charles University, where she received her PhD in 1997. She is the author of eight books and the only person to have ever won the Magnesia Litera Award (an annually held Czech literary prize) three times and in three different categories: prose, non-fiction and translation. Her novel Money from Hitler (2006), which won the prose award, has been translated to more than 15 languages. She currently lives in Prague.
