Dr Tiziana Ulian is a Senior Research Leader at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in the U.K. She has over 20 years of experience leading programs/ projects across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East (30 projects in 18 countries), conserving and sustainably use plants important for local communities. She has a strong track record of scientific and technical publications (Over 100). She is the lead editor and co-author of the book Wild Plants for a Sustainable Future, which aims to promote biodiversity conservation in agriculture and forestry projects. She has been involved in several research projects in Mexico since 2004, collaborating with the UNAM and, more recently, with the NGO Pronatura to conserve native tree seeds and support community-based reforestation activities. She holds a Ph. D from the Natural Resources Institutes (NRI) of the University of Greenwich in the U.K.
