Jenkins was born in Arequipa, Perú, in 1975. He is a writer and visual artist who belonged to a Peruvian catholic community for 14 years. He studied Philosophy and Theology at the Faculty of Pontifical and Civil Theology of Lima. As a devotee, he dedicated most of his time to reading. In the year of 2008, after a long vocational and existential crisis, he decided to leave the community to freely dedicate himself to art and literature. He has published four books the most recent of which is entitled El descubrimiento del ruido (Estruendomudo, 2011). In 2012 he began to make collages.
