Marta Peirano is a Spanish writer and researcher focused on the political, economic, and social impact of digital infrastructures, surveillance capitalism, and contemporary technological narratives. She is a columnist for El País and RNE, and has served as Technology Curator for the Barcelona Biennial of Thought. She created (re)programming – Strategies for Self-Renewal at the Institute of Contemporary Art Ljubljana and founded Periodismo Profundo at Medialab-Matadero in Madrid. Her books include El enemigo conoce el sistema (2019), a bestselling analysis of surveillance capitalism, amongst others, and Contra el futuro (2022), a critical examination of climate technologies and apocalyptic narratives, amongst others.
