Champion old favourites and discover new recommendations as we decide who should take our Eurovision Book Contest crown.

Hay Festival Eurovision Book Contest 2023

We need your help! Use the form below to submit your favourite fiction from any of the 37 countries competing in this year's contest. All genres and languages are welcome, but we're looking for suggestions published anytime since the song contest began in 1956.

Anyone can submit – readers, writers, teachers, and publishers from all around the world. And everyone who nominates a book will be entered into a prize draw to win a bundle of some of the selected titles.

A final selection of one book from each country will be made by an expert panel on the eve of Hay Festival in Wales this spring (25 May–4 June), with a special event planned on site to debate the list and crown an overall winner... Sequins at the ready!

Share your thoughts online too using #Bookovision on social media.
