Hay Festival & Lviv Book Forum series

“For 36 years, Hay Festival has lit a beacon for enlightenment, bringing writers and readers together in events that inspire, examine and entertain. In a volatile world of anger and corrupted language, we champion empathy and curiosity; stories and truths are told, ideas are shared, and audiences are encouraged to imagine the world from other perspectives and with renewed and audacious hope.” - Hay Festival CEO Julie Finch.

With the aim of bringing a wider public closer to discussions about the consequences of the war in Ukraine for the arts, ideas, culture and democracy, Hay Festival introduces the Hay Festival Lviv Book Forum series. Starting with Hay Festival Cartagena de Indias (January 2023), Ukrainian talent will be part of Hay Festivals in Hay-on-Wye (UK), Queretaro (Mexico) and Segovia (Spain) during 2023, and in various cultural events at Africa and Asia. Besides, the next Lviv Book Forum will be held on autumn 2023.
