Imagine the world

The most outstanding young voices of Mexican literature
A project by Hay Festival, British Council and Conaculta

2015 was the Year of Mexico in the UK and the Year of the UK in Mexico. To celebrate, Hay Festival, the British Council and Conaculta present México20, a project that promotes new voices in Mexican literature and brings their work to an international readership and the global publishing world.

Brenda Lozano, Carlos Velázquez, Eduardo Rabasa and Emiliano Monge present the anthology on March 16

The Mexico20 anthology brings together the work of twenty young Mexican writers under forty for an international audience. Join four of the leading writers on March 16 - Brenda Lozano, Carlos Velázquez, Eduardo Rabasa and Emiliano Monge. The event will be held at Casa Chimera. Guanajuato 15, 06700 Roma Norte Mexico City at 7pm.

Hay Festival Mexico20

The México20 project is inspired by existing Hay Festival projects Bogotá39 (2007), Beirut39 (2010), and Africa39 (2014). For each of these projects 39 writers under 40 were selected to highlight new voices in the countries where the UNESCO World Book Capital was being celebrated (Colombia in 2007, Lebanon in 2010 and Nigeria in 2014).
