In the 1980s, under the influence of Spanish punk, many of the young people of Peru expressed their anger. Some of their reactions involved drugs, music and violent action. Martín Roldán, who wrote Este amor no es para cobardes (2015), writes about a Lima of repression, scarcity and power cuts.
