Manolo Cardona started out in Colombian television with his role in the famous series Padres e hijos. As his career progressed, he played several characters in drug war TV series such as El Cartel, Sin tetas no hay paraíso and Narcos. In 2018 he played Porfirio Rubirosa, part of the inner circle of Rafael Leónidas Trujillo, dictator for 31 years of the Dominican Republic. A diplomat, military, politician, spy, and above all, an inveterate seducer, Rubirosa had five wives, as well as a list of lovers who lavished him with extravagant gifts, including a plane. Manolo Cardona will talk about his unique role in the film Rubirosa with the director of El Tiempo, Roberto Pombo.
