Bogotá39. Emiliano Monge, Pilar Quintana and Juan Manuel Robles in conversation with Ricardo Sumalavia

Bogotá39 is a selection of 39 of the best Latin American fiction writers under 40. The first list was created in 2007 as part of the UNESCO Bogota, World Book Capital event. In 2017 a new generation of 39 writers was presented. Three Bogotá39 authors will share the stage to talk about their careers. The writer and political analyst Emiliano Monge (Mexico), from the 2017 list, presents his latest non-fiction book, No contar todo (2018). The writer Pilar Quintana (Colombia), from the 2007 list, won the 4th Biblioteca de Narrativa Colombiana Prize for her novel La perra (2018). Juan Manuel Robles (Peru), from the 2017 list, has a Master’s in Creative Writing in Spanish from the University of New York and is currently a university lecturer. His latest book, Nuevos juguetes de la guerra fría (2015), is also his first novel. They will talk to the writer Ricardo Sumalavia.
