Democracy in danger. Ciro Alegría Varona and Nelson Vallejo-Gómez in conversation with Carlos Fernando Timaná Kure

Ciro Alegría Varona, a Doctor in Philosophy from the Free University of Berlin, is a specialist in ethics and political philosophy, and is recent winner of the Copé de Oro at the 6th Non-fiction Biennial. Nelson Vallejo-Gómez is Secretary General of the French National Council for Education; and close advisor of the French Minister of Education and Youth, Jean Michel Blanquer. Both will analyse the complex contemporary moment worldwide from the perspective of their fields of expertise, considering the danger that democracy is in internationally and the role that social sciences can play, as a tool for understanding differences and emphasizing the importance of respect as key to successful human relations. In conversation with Carlos Fernando Timaná Kure, director of the José Luis Bustamante y Rivero centre of the UCSP.
