In Hot Water - Peruvian Glacial Retreat and its Impact on Water Security. Erika Stockholm and Jemma Wadham in conversation with Andy Fryers

Arequipa 2019,

What happens when you bring together two people at the top of their game but from different spheres? Jemma Wadham is Professor of Glaciology and Director of the Cabot Institute at the University of Bristol in the UK. Erika Stockholm is a Peruvian writer, theatre producer and actress and President of the Asociación Cultural ¡Al teatro por primera vez! She has published 10 children's books, among them: María Julia y el árbol gallinero, La misteriosa travesía de Orión. They have collaborated to create an original piece of work that will explore the issues around the retreating glaciers in Peru and the impact on water security and the wider risks. The Trans.MISSION II project was created to bring science and culture together with the aim of communicating cutting-edge science to new audiences through new methods.
