Ha-Joon Chang (UK/South Korea) is a specialist in development economics, studying and criticizing the neoliberal model. He has been an advisor to the World Bank and the United Nations and has written over 15 books. His most recent work is Economics. The User’s Guide, which sets out the pros and cons of different economic theories and how different models which operate around the world influence the daily lives of every person on the planet. Chang talks about the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy, the rise of inequality and how to fight it. In conversation with international analyst and academic Farid Kahhat.
