Marieke Lucas Rijneveld will talk about her book The Discomfort of Evening, winner of the 2020 Booker International Prize. This is the story of mourning and the terrible choice between overcoming it and succumbing to it. It is a girl’s struggle to understand death, never named but present in every corner, because this is the only way she will conquer it.
