Recognizing the importance of plants in the urban environments in which we live and travel each day means valuing the services that plants give us, apart from just their beauty. Food, pollution control, a cultural contribution: all these things are ecosystem services that include a wide range of benefits, all provided by plants and biodiversity. We will learn about nature’s species in order to care for them, protect them and preserve them.
