Ibram X. Kendi in conversation with Sara Malagón (English version)

Stamped from the Beginning

Cartagena 2022,

Ibram X. Kendi is one of today's leading anti-racist historians and activists. He is one of the leading voices of the Black Lives Matter movement, a Humanities lecturer and founding director of the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research. In addition, he has written numerous bestsellers and was selected by Time magazine in 2020 as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. His most recent book to be published in Spanish, Marcados al nacer (2021) (published in English as Stamped from the Beginning) explains the history of racism in America, how it was institutionalized, and questions the notion that racism derives purely from ignorance or hatred. Kendi discusses this urgent issue with Sara Malagón.
