The distinguished Peruvian journalist Gustavo Gorriti presents his book El vuelo de los Asháninka, which compiles six long reports that cover one of the most difficult and cruel periods in Peru’s recent history: the internal conflict with the Sendero Luminoso. We will find out the story behind Gorriti’s report, which documents some dramatic events against the rural communities of Lucanamarca, Pomatambo and Parcco, and the Asháninka people. Gustavo Gorriti is one of the country’s most outstanding investigative journalists, head of the digital outlet dedicated to investigative journalism, IDL-Reporteros, and the author of a dozen books and has won various awards. He will talk to journalist Mariana Sánchez Aizcorbe.
