Carmen Pachas Piélago and Cynthia Rodríguez in conversation with Ingrid Bejerman

Indigenous worldviews: cultural heritage in children’s literature

Arequipa 2022,

Literature for children is a key ingredient for fixing and maintaining our language and culture for the generations that follow. Carmen Pachas Piélago, a writer and investigator into ancient Peru matters, and Cynthia Rodríguez, a promotor of children’s literature and of Spanish as an inherited language in Canada, will talk to the journalist Ingrid Bejerman about how to take on the responsibility of preserving this valuable legacy through reading literature aimed at child readerships.
