Pre-Texts: Puerto Rico in Poetry & Song

Join us for Pre-Texts, a bilingual workshop and conversation inspired by the book P FKN R: How Bad Bunny Became The Global Voice Of Puerto Rican Resistance by Vanessa Díaz and Petra R. Rivera-Rideau. We’ll read, listen and talk about Bad Bunny’s DtMF and other voices in literature and song that have used rhyme and poetry to express the island’s evolving relationship with independence. Conversation will move freely between English and Spanish; fluency in neither is required, but curiosity and openness is recommended! Presented in partnership with Español, la Lengua Amiga.
