Inspiration for your next story is all around you. Join writer Lucy Christopher on a nature trail with a creative twist. Gather together various objects from your walk, bring them back to the site, and Lucy will show you how they can develop your writing.

Each young person attending this workshop without an accompanying adult must fill in the Permission Form available for download here. Please send the form in advance to admin@hayfestival.org and bring a copy on the day.
Lucy Christopher
Lucy Christopher’s first book, Stolen, won the 2010 Branford Boase Award. Judges said that her book was a ‘sensitive, compelling and intense novel with a great sense of place’. Lucy’s second novel, Flyaway, about a girl and her relationship with her bird-mad father, has been shortlisted for the Costa Book Award and the Waterstone’s Prize, as well as being longlisted for the Carnegie Medal.
