A reading and discussion with Howard Norman, author of the magical Museum Guard set in an Art Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia and two of the stars of the new generation of Canadian novelists. JOhnston's The Colony of Unrequited Dreams fictionalises the rise and rise of Newfoundland's first Premier at the turn of the century. Selvadurai, a Sri Lankan writer based in Canada, explores the issues of exile, British colonial history, sexual identity and gender politics in his Cinnamon Gardens set in Ceylon.
