As an independent, mission-led charity, Hay Festival must raise new funds every year to support the work we do.
We seek to inspire, examine and entertain with sustainable events and projects around the world. Offering innovative cultural platforms to discover new ideas, Hay Festival invites audiences to imagine the world as it is and as it might be. It is a catalyst for change and a community that is open and accessible to everyone.
Our year-round programme of free outreach and education programmes brings Hay Festival inspiration to communities all over the world, widening cultural participation and inspiring the world-changers of tomorrow. From the Scribblers Tour, Scribblers Beacons Project and Hay Joven programmes for young learners to our Adult Learning Days and work to support refugees, our projects have earned multiple awards and reach thousands annually.
After a successful return to in-person events over this past year, Hay Festival is now entering the second phase of its Covid recovery plan. Over the next 24 months we aim to: return to full capacity events and sustainable growth; embrace hybridity, ensuring we remain accessible; and place education and outreach at our core, growing our platforms to inspire future generations of changemakers.
There are several ways individuals can contribute to Hay Festival, from signing up to our annual membership schemes, which are available as gifts, to direct donations…
