Edgar RODRÍGUEZ

Edgar Andrés Rodríguez Cogollo is a writer, performing artist, oral storyteller, and reading mediator from the city of Cartagena. He is the recipient of Comfamiliar Atlántico's National Writing Award for ‘Adults Who Write for Children 2022.’ He is co-founder and director of Serendipia, a collective that promotes reading, body literacy and creation in the performing arts, linked to the Relata Network of the Book, Reading and Literature Group and the National Library of Colombia. For more than 10 years, he has worked to bring the Cartagena community closer to book culture, carrying out this cultural mediation work in different museums, academic spaces, festivals, communities, cultural centres and libraries in the city. He has focused his work on writing and reading mediation, with a special emphasis on children's literature and literary works produced in the Colombian Caribbean.
