LA PAMBELÉ

Made up of nine musicians who radiate energy, the orchestra, conducted by Camilo Toro Morato, fills the stages and their songs with the power of the conga, timbal, bongo, piano, baby bass, transverse flute, trumpet, trombone and the captivating voices of Miguel RoRebolledo and Lorena Contento, ensuring that everyone surrenders to the rhythm and enjoyment. At an altitude of 2,600 metres, La Pambelé emerges from Bogotá. The name means “defender of his own” in the Bantu language and, of course, is reminiscent of the legendary Colombian boxer. The orchestra is made up of musicians from all corners of Colombia, providing further evidence that the capital's residents are not lacking in rhythm or flavour.
